Friction clutches with pneumatic actuation offer the most accurate torque control as well as automatic wear compensation but how do you connect the air to a rotating component? The Nexen answer is simple: don’t! Our bearing mounted pistons allow you to connect the air lines directly to the piston which means you can install any number of clutches on the same shaft, make shaft-to-shaft connections or run other lines through the hollow shaft.
