Also called profile guide rail brakes, these clamping elements act on to the sides of guide rails and are ideal to stall linear motors in emergency or power off situations. They also allow accurate holding of fixtures during assembly or machining processes. Nexen offers spring engaged pneumatically released or electrically engaged electrically released designs.
