Nexen’s, air engaged , 5H series tooth clutches are ideal for connecting or disconnecting parts of your equipment, the nexen tooth profile offers a tremendous torque capacity in a compact unit. Together with the bearing mounted pistons the nexen air engaged, spring released tooth clutches are easy to install and require no maintenance.
The 5H series tooth clutches are also available with a synchronizing system: a set of balls that fit into an asymmetric hole pattern, by varying the number of holes and their location, nexen can offer synchronization every 360°, 180°, 120°, 90°, 72°or 60°
Spring engaged tooth clutches are specially designed for connecting emergency drives in case of power loss or for applications where a disconnect is only needed in very rare occasions. These clutches are often used as parking brakes on manipulators and fixtures because of their high holding forces and compact dimensions.
