Nexen offers various zero-backlash components for linear drive lines.
The LC is a zero backlash coupling to connect components moving along parallel axes.
The RPS, also called Roller Pinion System is not a simple rack and pinion but a revolutionary linear drive system which converts rotary motion into linear motion with an efficiency of 99% and an accuracy of +/- 20µ regardless of travel length. The modular design offers an economical alternative to long ball screws. This zero backlash drive solution is also capable of high speeds and competes with linear motors or torque motors. This design can also work without any external lubrication for clean room applications or to avoid clogging of wood particles or dust on the rack teeth.
