These brakes are designed for emergency stopping and accurately holding in power-off situations.  The high dynamic torque and short response time ensure the shortest possible stopping distance.  The brakes mount between the servo motor and the gearbox without affecting the precision of the motion.  The patented braking element will lock and hold the motor shaft in position without any displacement upon engagement or reversing of the load.
